I believe, as I hope you do, that the ministries of our church are a blessing to both our church body and families throughout our community. God has blessed our church in so many ways and we again sense Him opening a new door of ministry and opportunity. Yet, with this opportunity comes a great challenge. Since our current monthly income must be used for our operating budget, we must now focus on a solution to maintain the positive mission and ministry of Second Baptist, while expanding the work and reach of our church.

LEGACY is the name chosen for our new campaign. We believe that with God’s guidance this campaign will fulfill the financial needs of this new phase of our church growth. As part of our Legacy campaign, every household is being asked to prayerfully consider making a sacrificial commitment (over and above your ongoing tithes and offerings) to be given over the next three years. We hope to raise the necessary funds in order to move forward in this ministry. As you can see, the Legacy campaign will be essential in advancing the Faith, as we reach families and impact future generations for Jesus.

I’d like to invite you to attend our Vision Sunday scheduled for both services on Sunday, October 22, 2023. There you will learn more specifics about our Preschool building project and our Legacy campaign. We will discuss the importance of church-wide prayer during this crucial time, as well. No financial commitments will be asked for or received at this service.

These are exciting days of decision in the life of our church and I want to ask that you make the commitment to be present with us that Sunday. I also would encourage you to make this a special matter in your daily personal prayers as we move forward.
