PURPOSE

20 years ago, Second Baptist Church took a major step of faith relocating to our current facility.

Since that time, our church has experienced supernatural growth and eternal impact. God has again moved in our family to take another leap of faith to leave an eternal legacy for generations to come. The need for Christ centered child care is not only a practical need in our community, it is an opportunity to impact families for decades to come.

PRESCHOOL

The preschool will be built to meet the highest standards in childcare, accommodating 99 children by licensing standards. It will be dually utilized in serving our church family during all service times as well.

LOBBY & HALLWAY COMPLETION

A new, open lobby will be built on the south side of the church. This lobby will provide a drive through, covered entrance for preschool entry. It will also be designed to facilitate a gathering space for small fellowships, baby/wedding showers and gathering before and after services.

CHILDREN’S WING

Two new bathrooms will be added inside the children’s wing allowing the entire wing to become completely secured during service times. It is important that children have a restroom that is not shared with general public.

SENIOR ADULT CLASSROOMS/OFFICES

With our preschoolers moving into the new wing, the current nursery space will be redesigned. 3 new Senior Adult classrooms will be created with seating for over 100 people. This will allow the majority of Senior Adult Life Groups to be located downstairs which will increase participation.

STORAGE BUILDING

Our church has always had a limited amount of storage space and our largest storage room will be lost when the upstairs hallway is completed. This metal building will be located at the south end of our parking lot and is the most cost effective way to create usable and desperately needed storage space.
